Popup Configuration

As you know many people are annoying pop-ups, especially when they appear immediately when the page loads. So sometimes it is useful to choose the right moment for the appearance of popup window.

On the Main tab of Popup by Supsystic you can find different options how to display popup window. Here you can set –

  • When to show popup
  • When to close PopUp
  • Whom to show
  • Show on next pages
  • Time display settings

When to show popup option allows you to choose when exactly to show popup:

  • When page load – you can set the delay in seconds.
  • When user click on the page – popup will appear after you click in any place on the page.
  • When user click on certain link / button / other element – you need copy & paste short code of popup – into required link to open PopUp on Click. Or, if you know HTML basics, – you can insert “onclick” attribute to any of your element from code that will be provided below. Or you can even use it for your Menu item, just add the code.   • When user scroll window – If the user scrolls the page it means he really something looking for and you can take advantage of this moment. You can set the delay in seconds or specify the percent of scroll when popup will be shown.

PRO features:

  • On Exit from site – is really helpful to increase your site usage, sales, subscribers, etc. It will show PopUp before user will try to exit from your site.
  • Bottom of the page – popup will appear on the bottom of the page.
  • After Inactivity – will shown when user was inactive on your page for some time. You can set the time of inactivity in seconds.
  • After User Comment – this will help you to interest active users on your site. If the user leaves comment on your site – it means he already interested, so you should act immediately, as they say “Strike while the iron’ s hot”
  • After Purchasing (Checkout) – you need copy & paste short code of popup on your Success checkout page content editor. Or, if you are using your own html/php for page – you can insert there code that will be provided.
  • On Link Follow – show popup when user open your site exactly by link, where in the end will be present #ppsShowPopUp_120. For example – http://test.com#ppsShowPopUp_120
  • Build-in Page – popup will be build-in page content as part of your page.

When to close PopUp option provides you such possibilities:

  • After user close it – popup will be closed when you click on close button. You can check any popup on this page. Popup window will disappear by click on close button.
  • Click outside PopUp – close PopUp when user click outside of the actually PopUp window.

PRO features:

  • Only after action (Subscribe / Share / Like) – will not allow user to close your PopUp until he finish at least one action: Subscribe, Share or Like. You can check the example of such popup in this article.
  • After time passed – you can set the time of popup closing in secondes.
  • Click to see examle – popup will close after 5 sec

With Whom to show option you can show popup to:

  • Everyone – popup will be displayed unlimited times for all users of your site.
  • For first-time visitors – this option will remember user visit for entered number of days and show PopUp to the same user again – after this period. To remember only for one browser session – use 0, to remember forever – try to set big number, for example – 99999. Click here to see example
  • Until user makes an action (Subscribe / Share / Like) – this option will remember user action for entered number of days and show PopUp to the same user again – after this period.   • Hide/Show Only for Devices  Mobile, Tablet and Desktop PC
  • Hide/Show Only for Post Types – you can make PopUp visible or hidden only for specified Post Types, for example – hide it on all Pages.
  • Hide/Show Only for IP – add IP address to block list and for these IPs PopUp will not be displayed
  • Hide/Show Only for Countries – you can make PopUp visible or hidden only for specified countries.
  • Hide/Show Only for Languages – you can make PopUp visible or hidden only for specified languages.
  • Hide for Logged-in – hide PopUp for logged-in users and show it only for not logged site visitors.

With Show on next pages option you have such opportunities as:

  • All pages – show popup on all pages.
  • Show on next pages / posts – you can choose pages/posts on which you want to show popup.
  • Don’t show on next pages / posts – choose pages/posts on which you don’t want to show popup.

Time display settings – set the time of displaying popup on your site. For example, from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
