The gallery shown with the link you provided is just what I’m looking for. I also am having issues with the linked images and the popup gallery. How did you achieve this grid gallery? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

mila_supportMemberHi Tim,
Follow this link https://supsystic.com/linked-images-popup/ to see the instruction of Linked Images in Popup right below the gallery.February 1, 2017 at 19:58 #12482
tmctigueParticipantThanks. The Popup box theme I had selected was the problem. #7 works well.
It would be nice if that popup theme had an obvious “return to gallery” link/button instead of the tiny “x” at the bottom.

mila_supportMemberHi,
We can
– make the “X” button look constantly as bright as on mouse hover
– use special style to change “X” button image
– change “X” on standard “close” button. Screenshot http://prnt.sc/e3hae3Will it suit your needs?
February 2, 2017 at 20:00 #12490
tmctigueParticipantYes, the close button option will work. Do I need to make the custom style coding changes?

tmctigueParticipantIs it possible for the linked images to display the description of the image when they are displayed in the main popup window? It seems to only display the file name even though “description” is selected in the settings.

mila_supportMemberHi Tim,
Please contact us through our
internal support.
We will help you to solve these issues.February 10, 2017 at 19:01 #12571
mila_supportMemberHello @tmctigue
We released new versions of plugin with improvements for you. We fixed the problem with shadow and added ability to set caption for each linked image. Also here is the code that will change “X” button to “close” button for all galleries with popup theme 7. You will need to add it to the styles of your theme:
.theme_7 #cboxClose { color: #fff !important; background: none !important; background-position: 0 0 !important; width: auto !important; height: auto !important; text-indent: initial !important; }
As for the issue with Load More button – we checked it again. It’s not a bug, it works like it is supposed to. Unfortunately it is very complicated to show those images in popup that are loaded after clicking on Load More button. It will take much time and resources to change its work, so currently we can’t do it.

tmctigueParticipantThank you. I have updated to the latest version and see that the shadow effect works after loading images. I do not see how to set captions for linked images. I have tried but only the file name displays. Is there a new setting in properties I am overlooking?

mila_supportMemberHi @tmctigue
You can find new setting in Popup Image section of the Main Tab of Gallery settings.
Choose needed text to show inside linked images – screenshot – http://prntscr.com/e8j4n5
You can set it –
– in Images List settings for main ones – http://prntscr.com/e8jdib
– in your WordPress Media for Linked images- http://prntscr.com/e8j54sFebruary 14, 2017 at 18:35 #12596
tmctigueParticipantThank you for solving this. Works well.
