Colin Ferguson
General Manager
Role: General Manager
Background: Colin lives in Brisbane, Australia. His career started as an officer in the Australian Army, and after 12 years, he moved into the private sector. He’s a self-confessed “nerd” with a long-established passion for spreadsheets. Even a shopping list needs a spreadsheet. After 30-plus years in small business, Colin is a keen advocate for small and medium businesses embracing digital marketing and system automation- so much so that he came out of retirement to drive the cause.
Colin has been at the helm of the Supsystic ship since 2019.
Education and Experience: Colin left school and joined the Army at 16. He was selected for Officer training and commissioned in 1979. After serving for 12 years, he resigned and went into business for himself. His business interests have ranged from Investment and Financial Planning to Real Estate and Property Development. More recently, he’s leaped into the online business world.
He retired at age 55 and again at 60, failing both times. Now, he balances several online business projects while traveling the world with his wife.
Responsibilities: Colin is the driving force behind Supsystic. In addition to overseeing operational aspects, this encompasses strategic planning, providing leadership to the team, fostering a positive work environment, and promoting a culture of excellence.

Alexander Chernyak
Head of Development
Role: Head of Development
Background: Alexander was born in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, and is a seasoned PHP/JS developer with a passion for creating and optimizing web solutions.
Education and Experience: He holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and has been honing his skills as a developer since 2016. Alex has become an expert in WordPress plugins and theme development and loves solving complex problems.
Responsibilities: He manages the Developer Team. Alex and his team are responsible for developing new features, fixing bugs, security fixes, and updating features according to regular WP and PHP updates. They maintain the company’s website, develop and support microservices, control SEO and link building, specialize in integrating third-party services and API. Alexander also helps new developers integrate into the team.
Thoughts on Life: In his free time, Alex enjoys spending time with his family, swimming in the pool during summer, and taking care of the garden.
Ole Bashtovyi
Head of Support
Role: Head of Support
Background: Oleg was born and raised just south of the port city of Odesa, Ukraine. When he’s not solving customer plugin problems for Supsystic, he loves Football, Gaming, and F1 motor racing. And don’t be fooled by his youthful looks – what he doesn’t know about WordPress plugins isn’t worth knowing.
Education and Experience: Oleg has a Master’s degree in Computer Science and eight years of experience in IT, specializing in hosting and WordPress plugin support. This experience has created a deep understanding of the technical challenges faced by clients in the hosting and IT sectors. Oleg is passionate about using his expertise and skills to achieve positive outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities: He manages the Support Team, develops support strategies, and ensures quality customer service. He is also responsible for the pre-release testing of plugins on various servers and environments.
Thoughts on Life, The Universe, and Everything: “I’d like to explore plugin development and coding in the future. My understanding of user’s needs and expectations should give me a good base to develop user-friendly products.”
Joan Capiral
Head of Marketing
Role: Head of Marketing
Background: Joan was born and raised in a small town in the Philippines. Joan enjoys spending quality time with her husband and extended family (when she’s not online). If you can’t find her with family and friends, she is out surfing or in her bat cave playing computer games.
Education and Experience: Joan graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, majoring in Multimedia and Design. She is a licensed teacher who focuses on Technology and Livelihood Education. Joan joined freelancing / remote companies in 2015, handling various tasks, from creating WordPress websites and CRM landing pages for clients to handling social media accounts. Joan is passionate about all things internet-related.
