I’m trying to trigger a subscribe popup 20-30 seconds after someone lands on my site. http://yourwatchstyle.com/
On my site, each time a user clicks on a watch the page is reloaded and the time delay of the popup is reset. Basically my site reloads the page with every click. The site is designed for people to keep making choices and continue clicking until they decide to leave.
    Do you have any suggestions?
I’d prefer not to use “On Exit From Site” because at that point they just want to leave. I want the popup to show while they are still interested and engaged.
Question: With “On Link Flow” does the popup show only if you are still on the same page that you landed on?
Ideally I’d like the popup to show once it’s been triggered, after a delay, and on any page of my site.
Any thoughts? I’m really hoping for a nice solution here…

    Hello!

    Sorry for late response.

Delay function of our plugin counts time from each new reload of any page. That’s why every time the visitor of your site clicks to another page, delay function starts counting again.
There is such feature as “When page loads”, which shows popup after the page was loaded, where you can also set delay time in seconds. Why don’t you try this option?
With “On link follow’ feature you need to insert the code of popup in the end of the link, with transition to which you want to show popup. There is also a possibility to specify the delay in seconds.
As I understood you want to show the popup with 20-30 seconds delay, no matter how many times the visitor of your site clicks to different pages. Is that right?

Having the popup load right when a page loads is not preferred. I want the users to be engaged with the page prior to the popup.
Average click (aka new page load) on my site is 2 seconds. So setting a delay with “When page loads” doesn’t meet my needs :(

With “On link follow” it’s my understanding that the popup shows on the page that loads from this link. If that’s correct then I don’t think this works either because the person keeps reloading the same page with each click.
Yes that’s correct. Each time a user clicks a watch image, the page is reloaded with the same URL.
Here’s a link to my site to show you what I mean.

Unless you can tell me of an other way, I think my best way is to select “On Exit from Site”.
The plus of this is that it doesn’t stop the users engagement.
The minus for me is that they are wanting to leave at the point of the popup and that could be annoying.
This is just how I assume it will be.. Who knows :)

    Hello again!

We can add the checkbox “Count time from the first site loading” here (please check the screenshot http://prntscr.com/aap2hf). And in this case the time will be counted regardless of reloading of any pages or clicking the links on your site. Only after that the popup will be shown. Will such option suit your needs?

That doesn’t work either. I can see how you would suggest that.
To be clear, I want the delay clock to start from the first page load.
So if you set the delay clock to 20 seconds and land on the home page, I want the clock to start from that point regardless of the pages loaded after that. No matter how many different pages the user clicks on after the home page, 20 seconds after landing on the home page the popup will show up.
Even if the last page was loaded 1 second ago. Does that make sense?
In other words, I’m looking for a global delay clock for the popup to show.
As I mentioned, if there isn’t something like this, I think my best bet is “On Exit from Site”.
Thx for your suggestions and replies.. You guys are great!!

What I meant was the checkbox “Count time from the first site loading” will work in the following way: you set time there and it starts counting when your site was opened by user. No matter how many times users click on a watch image, after time passed popup will appear. As that’s what you want, we will add this feature for you. I will inform you after the update with this feature.

That’s fantastic! Thank you so much…
A global time delay (as I call it) were the popup will show on any page of my site, after its been triggered and the time has passed would be perfect!
Looking forward to hearing from you..

Open Main tab of settings. In the section “When to show Popup” choose When page loads and tick the checkbox Delay for. After that new option Count time from first site load will appear, tick it as well. (Please check the screenshot http://prntscr.com/affqv2). I hope it will help. Please let me know, if something is still unclear.

I’m not seeing “Count time from first site load”.
    I’ve installed the latest update.
I’ve looked on existing and newly created popups.
