I still use version 1.7.9 and 1.4.3 from the pro version.
the table reacts very strange when I update.
The columns change width and the table looks very narrow on the laptop.
So I put a back-up back so that I can continue working on the website as I use a lot of tables.
I hope you can solve this, thank you in advance

It would be great if you can show us screenshots to demonstrate the difference in the table depending of Data Table plugin version.
Please note: if you use the older Free version with new PRO, it can cause unproper plugin behaviour. You always can use old PRO versions with latest Free versions, but not vice versa.
