Displaying posts

Ok, but it’s possible displaying posts from a category or the latests posts? I notice shortcodes inside the marker don’t work…

Thanks for the attention… I was wondering 2 possibilities:

1-the theme is working on my website generate shortcodes so I can display posts from my site in any page or sidebar putting this shortcodes. When I put the shortcodes, they’re not working. Ex: I generate a shortcode to display a list from a specifc category inside the marker (because I’m trying to connect one specific place with all the news that happened in that place, so the readers can find them easily. I named a category with the name of the place to work on it). But the shortcode appears written as a shortcode inside the marker, and it’s not displaying the list of the news I programmed.
2-Wordpress has many plugins that do the same job as my theme is doing, like the plugin “Post Content Shortcodes”. I installed this plugin, placed the shortcode inside the marker, but is not working as well. Ex of the shortcode in this plugin: [post-content category=”59″] When I place this shortcode in any page, post or widget a list of the posts from the category 59 apears.

Any idea in how can I display the posts from a specific category from my site inside the marker?
