Offsetting category filter div to out of the map

Hi there,

I’m trying to offset category filter to out of the map using relative position in css but it seems not working. I’ve tried absolute and relative and static positions with no luck. the only position that will take the div out of map is position: fixed; and as you know better the block will freeze even while scrolling the page which is not good for my page as it will be shown beside other content below map.
