I’m using the supsystic gallery for a portfolio page on my website and I think there’s a problem with the jquery library. The website is currently using 3.2.1/jquery.min.js which works fine with the gallery, but is causing the menu to not appear on mobile devices. When I try to link to the 1.11.0/jquery.min.js version the menu works fine, but the gallery stops appearing. Could you please advice on what would be the best way to deal with this?

    Hi @slewis0706

Please use jquery from the WordPress itself. As so this is the only correct and best way to work with WordPress.

Besides there is an article in our blog https://supsystic.com/blog/wordpress-developers-manifest/ related to your issue.

    Hello

I would be more than happy to use the jquery from WordPress, but as soon as I do that the gallery stops visualising. I would like to continue using the supsystic gallery rather than searching for alternatives.

Thank you for linking to the article. I’ve read through it, but could not find a helpful answer.

Could you please advice on the best way to proceed?

I’ve restored the jquery and disabled every plugin that I have on that page and that did the trick (silly me, I don’t know why I didn’t do that right away).

    Thank you for your time

    Hi @slewis0706

The only way to make everything work right – is to use WP jQuery library – thus there will be no issues. In the case Gallery does not appear with WP jQuery library it happens due to other scripts of your template/other plugins stop working. Because thy were not developed due to WordPress standards.

Please contact your template developers to follow WordPress code standards, then everything will work correctly.
