Latest Pro update freezes browser in gallery

Everything was working fine until about 2 weeks ago I performed the automated update to the latest version of Photo Gallery by Supsystic Version 1.12.6 and Photo Gallery by Supsystic PRO Version 2.7.1 which have now almost killed the plugin. First thing I noticed apart from it being VERY slow, e.g. it used to take around 10-15 seconds to load the images list, now it takes around 7-8 minutes, is that the whole images list layout has suddenly changed. It used to look like rectangular boxes for each images, now the entire page looks like a half completed spreadsheet. It also dumped the links of the first 8 images which I have had to manually re-enter but because of how slow it is now, adding back the 8 deleted links took over half an hour. The previous time I updated the Pro plugin, WordPress reported that the plugin had crashed and shut it down but when I reactivated it, things seemed to be okay, but not now though. Any clues why the latest build has applied the handbrake and also deleted the links on the first 8 images? When I move about my website admin, my PC reports the Firefox browser is using 1 – 2% CPU time, however the moment I enter Supsystic now, the browser immediately jumps to 50% for each core and just sits continuously at 50% CPU usage.
