Your data deserves better than a static HTML table. Data Tables Generator is a table builder for WordPress that turns spreadsheets, CSV files and live databases into interactive tables your visitors can sort, search and page through — styled to match your site and readable on any screen.

Why Data Tables Generator

Built for Real Data, Readable on Every Screen

Large tables are where most WordPress table plugins slow down or break the layout. This one paginates, processes big datasets server-side when it has to, and reflows to phones instead of forcing a sideways scroll.

Sortable, Searchable, Paginated

Column sorting, live search and pagination on every table, so a 2,000-row list stays as easy to use as a 10-row one.

Import From Anywhere Pro

Paste straight from a spreadsheet in the free version. Pro imports CSV, Excel and Google Sheets and builds dynamic tables from MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite.

Responsive Tables by Default

Collapse columns, stack rows or scroll — you decide how each table behaves on a phone. Output is real HTML table markup, readable by screen readers and keyboard users.

Charts From Your Rows Pro

Turn any table into a line, bar, pie or area chart that changes when the data does.
One plugin, three table types

Data Tables, Product Tables
and Pricing Tables.

The table wizard asks one question first: what kind of table is this? Data tables are built from rows; product tables from your WooCommerce catalogue; pricing tables by hand, in a drag-and-drop editor with payment buttons and a plan switcher. All three ship in the same plugin and drop into a page the same way.

How It Works

From Spreadsheet to Live Table in Four Steps

Most tables go live in under five minutes. It is the same table maker whether you publish a ten-row price list or a hundred-thousand-row catalogue.

01

Install & Activate

Install the plugin from WordPress.org and activate it — no setup wizard to fight, no configuration files.
02

Add or Import Your Data

Type into the spreadsheet-style editor or paste from Excel; with Pro, import a CSV, Google Sheet or database (pricing tables are built by hand in the editor).
03

Configure & Style

Sorting, search, pagination, responsive mode, colours and fonts — all switches, no CSS.
04

Publish Anywhere

Drop the table into any page or post with a Gutenberg block or a shortcode. Edit it later in one place.
Who It's For

Simple Enough to Start. Deep Enough to Stay.

Whether you publish one price list or run data-heavy sites for a dozen clients, it is the same toolset — it just goes deeper when you need it to.

Data Tables Generator works especially well for:

Businesses Publishing Prices & Comparisons

Pricing tables with a monthly / yearly toggle, comparison tables, product specs and rate cards — tables visitors sort and search instead of squinting at.
Most Common

Schools, Clubs & Associations

Schedules, results, rosters and directories that someone has to keep current — usually from a spreadsheet they already maintain.

Agencies & Developers

Large or evolving datasets, client-editable tables, custom CSS and a REST API that fits into existing workflows.

WooCommerce Stores

A dedicated product table type: searchable, filterable catalogues with bulk add-to-cart, built from your own products.

Researchers & Publishers

Datasets, statistics and reference tables with charts drawn from the same rows — still readable on a phone.
Start simple. Grow as your data grows.
New — AI control via the MCP standard

Control Your Tables With AI

Data Tables Generator ships its own MCP server. Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot or Cursor and work with your WordPress tables in plain English — read and analyse for free, create and edit with the Pro AI add-on. No SQL, no exports, no dashboard.

For Developers

Developer-Friendly by Design

Built to work cleanly inside real WordPress projects. Developers get:
Clean, predictable output
Gutenberg block and shortcode
Custom CSS and JavaScript per table
ARIA-labelled, keyboard-focusable sortable headers
REST API (JSON in and out) and an MCP server
Works with Elementor, WPBakery and Divi
It integrates with your site — it doesn't fight it.
Capabilities

Build a Table Once. Use It Everywhere.

Build a table once, then drop it into any page, post, widget or template with a block or a shortcode — and edit it afterwards in one place, not five. Connect it to a spreadsheet or a database and it can update itself.
The Complete Solution

Built for Real Data.
Not Just Content.

Most table plugins are fine for a five-row spec sheet. This one is built for the point where tables stop being content and start being operational data — large, changing, and edited by more than one person.
The Professional Edge
A table that stays current earns trust. One that is three months stale loses it.
01

Large Tables Without the Slowdown

Server-side processing, pagination and lazy asset loading keep a hundred-thousand-row table responsive — users report 200,000 rows on ordinary shared hosting. Search, sort and filter run against the full dataset, not just the page on screen.
Performance
02

Dynamic Tables From One Source

Connect Google Sheets, a MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite database or an (S)FTP file, and the table refreshes on a schedule instead of being re-imported.
Live Data · Pro
03

Edit From the Front End

Let logged-in users or chosen roles update cells right on the page — no dashboard access, no training.
Front-end Editing · Pro
04

Formulas & Conditional Formatting

Excel-style formulas for totals and percentages; colour cells by value so the outliers stand out.
Spreadsheet Logic
05

Update Once, Reflect Everywhere

One table can live on ten pages. Change a price in the editor and every copy updates at once.
Central Editing
Start with one price list on one page. The same setup still holds when it is forty tables across a dozen client sites, some of them fed by live databases — nothing has to be rebuilt along the way.
Stop Wrestling with Tables

Structured Data. Total Control.

The default WordPress table block gives you a static grid. Here is what changes when the table is a real data table plugin.

12 Years of Experience

“The free version was fine to start, but then we wanted some of the extra features only available in the Pro version, and haven’t regretted upgrading even once. We’ve been using the PRO version for 12 years now on multiple websites. Having compared Supsystic to two other premium table plugins during this time, we stuck with this one for a number of reasons. It is robust, stable, and simple to use. I have needed support 3 times over the 12 years and received quality personalized contact every time. Separately, would like to say I really appreciate the absence of “decorations” and extraneous colors in the dashboard and all manner of flying effects. Just quick and simple tables, as close to Excel experience as you can expect online. Thank you”

Excellent plugin and support

“Very flexible and well-designed plugin which has worked really well for me when clients ask to upload large spreadsheets to their websites that they want to be searchable. Support was also very responsive when I had a technical issue and solved it rapidly.”

Excellent plugin for working with tables from the frontend

“I needed a plugin to work with formulas and be able to enter the data from the frontend. I tried several until I found “Data Tables Generator by Supsystic”. I am very happy with the result and with the support they have given me. good job!”

Data Table Generator by Subsystic is the best I have come across in wordpress

“The supsystic DT generator best table plugin at WP, in my opinion. During past few days, I hv checked many more competitors. Even more than the comprehensive features list and its awesome search capability, this product is quite robust ( we even checked with 2 lakh rows!)”

This plugin is really helpfull

“This is a really handy WordPress plugin. It makes creating tables for your website super easy. You can customize them to match your site’s look perfectly. The plugin lets you do cool stuff like sorting, filtering, and pagination. Plus, you can import data from CSV, Excel, or Google Sheets. If you need to display data neatly on your site, this plugin is a great choice!”

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions people ask before they install — and the ones they ask support in the first week.

Is the free version really unlimited?

Yes. Unlimited tables, unlimited rows and columns, the spreadsheet-style editor with formulas, sorting, search, pagination, responsive modes and server-side processing for large tables. It never expires and it is not a trial.

Can I import from Excel, CSV or Google Sheets?

Yes, with Pro. Pro imports CSV and Excel files and Google Sheets (with scheduled auto-update), and can build tables from MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQLite queries and (S)FTP files. In the free version you type or paste data into the editor.

How large a table can it handle?

Server-side processing loads a table page by page, so sorting, searching and filtering run against the full dataset while the browser only renders the visible rows. Users report tables of 200,000 rows on ordinary shared hosting.

Does it work with Elementor, Gutenberg and other page builders?

Yes. Every table has a shortcode and a Gutenberg block. The shortcode works in Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, Beaver Builder and any editor that renders shortcodes.

Can visitors edit a table on the page?

With Pro, yes. Cells can be editable, with dropdowns and date pickers, and editing can be limited to logged-in users or specific roles. Rows can also be removed from the front end.

Can I make charts from a table?

Yes, with Pro. Line, bar, pie, area and bubble charts are generated directly from the table data and update when the data changes. Each chart has its own shortcode.

Can I build a pricing table with it?

Yes. Pricing Table is the third table type in the wizard: a drag-and-drop editor where you arrange columns, rows and cells by hand, add badges, images, icons, tooltips and payment buttons, and start from a preset template. Pro adds the monthly / yearly switch toggle and the full template library.

Is a WooCommerce product table included?

Yes. When WooCommerce is active, the table wizard offers a WooCommerce Product Table type. The free version covers manual product assignment, sorting and loader styling; Pro adds category and attribute filters, design templates, search by hidden columns and export.

What does the AI integration do, and which assistants work?

The plugin includes an MCP server, so any MCP-capable assistant — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Cursor — can connect. Free lets the assistant read and analyse your tables. The Pro AI add-on ($30, requires Pro) lets it create and edit tables, apply formulas and import or export data.

Can I move from TablePress, wpDataTables or Ninja Tables?

Export your existing tables to CSV or Excel and import them with Pro; the free version accepts pasted data straight from a spreadsheet. Most WP data tables move over in one pass, and the formatting is then set up in the editor.

Is the output accessible?

Tables render as real HTML table markup. Sortable column headers are keyboard-focusable and carry ARIA labels and aria-sort state; search and page-length controls are linked to the table with aria-controls. That is the markup level WCAG audits check first; colours and contrast are set in the table styling, so keep them to WCAG 2.1 AA when you design the table.

Where is my data stored? Is it GDPR-friendly?

In your own WordPress database. Tables, imports and edits stay on your server; the plugin does not send table data to third-party services. The AI connection only exists when you connect an assistant yourself, and the REST API returns JSON only to requests you authorise.

What happens when a Pro license expires?

The plugin keeps working and your tables stay online. An active license is needed for updates, priority support and new features. Lifetime licenses never expire.

Which tier do I need?

The three Pro tiers contain exactly the same features. Personal covers one site, Developer five sites, Enterprise an unlimited number. Pick by how many sites you will install it on.
